HISTORY

Newtown Sports Junior Football Club has been the leading junior football club in Malvern for over 40 years.  Find out more about the history of this successful, friendly, family club here.




JUNIOR & YOUTH TEAM

Newtown Sports Junior Football Club currently has 19 junior and youth teams including a selection of Girls teams, our successful ‘GrassRoot Kickers’ (GRKs) for younger children reception to Yr2 and our dedicated CP+PAN Disability. Meaning Newtown is Malverns only mixed ability football club that is fully inclusive to all children.




GIRLS TEAM

Newtown Sports Junior Football Club has recently set up a junior girls team with support from Worcestershire FA.  Find out more here.




CP+PAN TEAM

Newtown Sports Junior Football Club currently run the ONLY Cerebral Palsy specific football team in Hereford and Worcestershire.  The team travel the country to play other teams.  We are a friendly, inclusive fun team and are happy to welcome any child with any disability.

COMMITTEE

Newtown Sports Junior Football Club is run completely by volunteers.  Every member of the club and committee work tirelessly to provide a safe and secure environment for the children in its care.



GUIDANCE & TRUST

We meet the five key themes of Sports Participation, Health and Education, Social Inclusion and the Environment. County In The Community Trust deliver mainly football sessions, projects and schemes in and around the Malvern area to engage local people and create a positive experience through Newtown Sports Junior FC.

CLUB WAS FOUNDED

Newtown Sports started back in 1979, when Mick Morris, together with Ron Handy and Ken Door, established an U15 team for his son and his mates, because the team they used to play folded. Mick’s reasoning for calling the team Newtown Sports was because he obtained sponsors from various shops in Newtown Road,
